The title is a little clickbaity, but I feel like it isn’t really—this actually happened! Win
On the AA leaderboard, gemini3.8flash (high) has already caught up with and surpassed opus5 (med). In practice, though, it still can’t beat the max tier. In terms of value for money, however, it has beaten claude (claude is basically the “Nike” of the AI world—the brand effect can account for a significant portion of its profits).
3.8 Flash’s pricing remains the same as 3.7 Flash’s.

qwen3.8max also seems to have launched. Its capabilities are excellent on the small-model leaderboard (trying to pass itself off as 3.8, lol).
I’ve also seen quite a few memes about gemini3.8f.
As for 3.7f’s performance, I’d say it was a Gemini model that could really hold its own while also being fast and cheap. As for 3.8f’s performance, we’ll have to see what you all say in the comments. Do you think this generation of 3.8f lives up to your expectations?
I’m really sorry the giveaway went a bit sideways
. I set up some small prizes, but too many big shots entered, so I ended up losing money (even with 2k votes, I could still generously start things off
. I’ll post a new giveaway thread later with more prizes—thanks for your support! Please give it a like. (Honestly, when will there be an option to enter a red-packet or raffle-ticket giveaway by liking and commenting, or simply by liking?)
You can move to the new thread to enter the giveaway again
