Today I worked on a Pi plugin project: a Claude Code-like “conversation and workspace synchronized rewind” for Pi. No Git configuration required—it uses Pi’s native session tree.
Features:
- Double-press Esc to open Pi’s native session tree
- Automatically create a checkpoint before sending each user prompt
- Restore code and conversation to the same historical node
- Switch only the conversation while leaving the code unchanged
- Restore only the code while leaving the conversation unchanged
/redo-rewindundoes the most recent restore operation- Checkpoints remain available after
/resumeor restarting Pi - Precisely bind snapshots to user messages via Pi session node
entryId - Write checkpoint metadata to Pi’s session tree using
pi.appendEntry() - Use an independent shadow Git without modifying the project Git’s commits, branches, index, or reflog
- Record untracked files and regular file changes produced by shell commands
- Refuse to restore through symbolic or hard links to prevent writes through links
- Retain up to 100 checkpoints per session
- Runtime Chinese/English adaptation: Chinese is displayed on Chinese systems; English is displayed by default in other environments
