I tried registering for Muse yesterday. The process isn’t particularly complicated, and I was able to successfully register both accounts!!
However, since it’s currently being rolled out by region and in batches, network settings are very important!!
Many people may see a “Join the waitlist” prompt during registration, which is also due to regional restrictions.
The device I used was a cloud phone configured with a US dynamic residential IP
During the process, you only need to receive one email verification code and link an existing Instagram account to register successfully.
Detailed Registration Guide
Log in to your account in Google Play and download Muse directly.
Open Muse and enter your email address or phone number.
(You can register with Google or Outlook email addresses; I tried both accounts.)
Enter the verification code and your birth date. Muse determines whether the account meets the required age based on the birth date, so entering an age of 18 or older is recommended.
4. Proceed to account verification!!!
A page for verifying your age with a bank card will appear. It will place a $1 temporary authorization, which will be refunded later. If you have a card, you can link it directly; most cards should work, except for some virtual cards.
If you don’t want to link a card, click “continue with your Instagram or Facebook account” at the bottom of the page.
You’ll be redirected to the page for linking your Facebook or Instagram account. After linking the account, return to Muse and you’ll already be in the chat interface.
Some users reported that verification also failed with an older Facebook account. You can try using another email address and linking your Facebook account again, or try linking an Instagram account.
In my experience, the IP settings are key to registering successfully.
Those with good internet had already finished registering early; later on, most people were linking Instagram/Facebook accounts, and card verification was really painful.

Thanks to the OP for the detailed tutorial—it’s very practical. Here’s one additional detail I’ve personally tested: if an old Facebook account keeps failing verification, try linking it to Instagram instead; the success rate may be a bit higher. Also, it’s recommended to enter an age of 18 or older, otherwise you may easily get stuck at the age verification step.
