Beware of Ulzix Hong Kong District 27

Yesterday I saw that ulzix had launched a new Hong Kong 27 zone. The price was a little higher than its previous machines, and the website said that only 5 units were available. I bought one, and apparently another user also bought one, since the website still showed 3 units for sale. Then things got strange: the machine went offline the very next day. I submitted a ticket at noon, but still hadn’t received a reply by that evening.

All of that is understandable. What I’m more curious about is what kind of machine the owner is using. It crashed after running just two small VPSs.

It may be somewhat unstable.

@LOsEE

You can submit a support ticket to inquire about it.

Exactly the same since 10 a.m. until now :joy: :joy:

It won’t be just the two of us buying it, will it?

So you’re the other buyer. Technically, it really is just the two of us. The seller said he was only selling five, but there are still three listed on the website. This 27-node setup is rather unusual: each small VPS has its own separate link.

Hi, neighbor. Did you kick it and break it? I didn’t kick it at all.

Regarding your order, I saw the screenshot in the post. You did not violate any rules.

@wangdd70 The proxy you used was too obvious. The protocol or long-term equality between upstream and downstream traffic triggered the data center’s new rules, so the server was shut down.

@wangdd70 Please first submit a ticket explaining exactly what you did so that we can handle your server.

@yaozhong The server has now been restarted. We sincerely apologize for the downtime of several hours. We can compensate you with account credit equal to 30% of the order amount (this is generally not supported, but we are making an exception this time; just apply through a ticket). Additionally, please modify the post to indicate that the issue has been resolved, or delete the post directly. Otherwise, it could negatively affect this site. If you encounter further issues that cannot be resolved through a ticket, please return to the forum. Thank you for your understanding.

Done. If the OP has no objections, please make it visible only to @yaozhong and @wangdd70.

I only bought it yesterday afternoon and used it to deploy a node, but the IP has been unstable. I haven’t even really used it yet. It feels like the upload and download bandwidth aren’t the same—don’t understand it.

Totally normal— even their probe server can handle a load in the teens.

I don’t have permission to delete posts, so I can only update the content. The fact that it’s been updated means the machine is back up.

Let’s leave the 30% balance compensation outstanding for now. If things remain stable, there’s no need to provide it later. If this happens frequently, I’ll submit a ticket and ask the boss for it. I know the boss operates on thin margins, and I understand that not every issue can be resolved immediately. As long as they don’t run away or let the machine remain unreachable for several days, they’re a good boss.

How was it deployed?

Edit the post and select “Change to the ulzix node.” I’ll hide it so only three people can see it.
