RT, China Mobile was originally supposed to have lower latency and faster speeds, but things seem to have reversed now. China Telecom has lower latency and faster speeds than China Mobile. I tested the IPs of several common providers (Cloudflare, ColoCrossing, etc.), and they all showed the same results. It’s honestly a bit puzzling.

None of them were optimized for mobile to begin with; colocrossing can’t even be said to offer good mobile connection quality.
The key is that, in the past, China Mobile was generally better for this kind of regular connection.
Isn’t it true that what goes around comes around?
China Mobile now restricts Cloudflare traffic in quite a few regions. During peak hours, visiting sites behind Cloudflare is torture— even a site with a simple page takes over ten seconds to load.
China Mobile has put up a huge firewall. It’s fucking laggy—packet loss and high latency.
It could also be that the outlet is blocked.
That can’t be right—there’s no way it’s been blocked for almost a month.
Whoa, a month is a bit much, isn’t it?
I’m new to this. I got a RackNerd VPS for the first time, but I can’t connect via SSH on mobile unless I use a proxy. After setting it up, the latency is terrible—it’s completely unusable.
RN support ticket for an IP change
It’s not an IP issue; changing the IP won’t help. It’s probably a data center issue. It’s in dc03—can we move it to dc02? The ticket says that’s not possible.
I’m currently waiting for BandwagonHost’s BiggerBox Pro, but it seems unlikely to become available. Alternatively, there’s VMISS’s CMI2 for CA$5 a month, though I probably won’t manage to snag that either.
DMIT special-priced server, very easy to get one
Only the annual plan for the Tier 1 route is within their budget. They’d just use it lightly themselves, not for heavy usage like foreign trade or streaming. Based on the description, the Tier 1 route doesn’t seem to use the CMI2 route either—perhaps it’s just an optimized route, so it may not be the best fit. Thanks for the recommendation.
Cheap servers in ColoCrossing data centers performing poorly on China Mobile is normal.
If you’re looking for CMIN2 optimization, or waiting for a BandwagonHost deal, either option works.
I came across a website on a forum that tracks “heirloom” VPS deals. It has purchase links for BandwagonHost and BiggerBox; clicking them seems to take you to mirror sites. I asked Muse, who said those sites are also official. Is it safe to place an order through one of them? Based on the blogger’s experience, will BandwagonHost Pro be available on Black Friday? Can ordinary people usually buy it?
Getting a special-price server depends on how fast you are.
Alright, I’ll pass—us old folks just aren’t quick enough with our hands.
It was possible to snag one in the first few hours.
