In short, @alchigamid was rate-limited because

It simply helps you always know which direction you’re heading in the unknown.
As for 1,440 RPM · 72 concurrent:
1,440 = 24 × 60, the number of minutes in a day.
72 also contains a particularly elegant astronomical Easter egg: Earth’s precession moves approximately 1° every 72 years (360° / 26,000 ≈ 0.014°/year).
