Is combining multiple frequencies better than using them separately for routers?

Discovered that the rented apartment’s router doesn’t have 5G signal. Upon logging into the management interface, I found that multi-band convergence was enabled. Turning off this feature allows separate settings for 2.4G and 5G signals. With this feature enabled, the bands are merged into one signal. So, is it better to merge them or set them separately?

Look at the requirements Multiband consolidation can address shortcomings

Separate them best, 5G signal attenuates quickly, the 2.4G is stable at this time

Separate them best, phones and computers on 5G, others on 2.4G

If the whole house signal is good, there’s nothing to worry about!

Split them up, use 5 for personal use, and use 2.4 in places with no signal.

I am always separate.

Closed, I didn’t use merge either.

I am separate forcing the phone to use the faster 5G\nAnd some IOT devices, if multi-frequency integration is used it will also prompt unsupported 5G

Separate, all connected, limited 5G

Separate.

Not much of a difference, unnoticeable

I am closed.

It’s better to separate them.

Currently, it is separate

:xhj34: If it’s all under control, split up.
