To put it simply, here’s what happened: When updating the Lenovo BIOS, the progress bar didn’t move for two or three hours.
Under duress, I started considering a blind flash. ![]()
In the end, you know what happened? I disconnected all USBs, turned off the computer, waited for a minute or two, and then restarted it.
I found that the computer still showed the BIOS update prompt and quickly entered the loading screen, of course, there was still no progress, and the screen was distorted and the progress bar logo disappeared, showing only the distorted screen.
At this point, I thought it was really hopeless! ![]()
I continued to turn off the power and restart, not giving up even after waiting for a while.
This process repeated, always showing the BIOS update prompt with no progress. But the screen distortion issue didn’t appear anymore!
Continuing to manually restart, the progress bar reached 13%, then the screen distorted again. After waiting for about five minutes with no progress, I manually forced a restart. ![]()
A miraculous thing happened; I smoothly entered the BIOS update loading screen without any screen distortion, and it completed quickly. The progress ended, the screen went black and automatically restarted, and I successfully entered the system desktop. ![]()
