Are there single 1PB hard drives? This should just be mounting.
My maximum is also around 10,000+ hours, now I have abandoned NAS and switched to cloud storage, with over 10 HDDs gathering dust.

You guys are tough.
I have two NAS devices, one as a temporary main NAS with space not large at 2T (24/7 power-on); the other as a backup slave NAS with 4 disks of 14T each, which automatically synchronizes and copies data from the main NAS for 2 days every month before shutting down.
My hard drive hasn’t been checked, but it has been in use for 10 years.
