What Are Extensions?

Just click the puzzle piece icon on the right to go to the extension store to download. In short, browser extensions are extra scripts that get injected into web pages, which means they can do all sorts of things. Because of that, you should avoid downloading unknown extensions and stick to official or reputable ones from the store—they’re usually good enough.

AdGuard

AdGuard Extension Panel

Available in the official extension stores, AdGuard is an extremely handy ad-blocking extension—definitely a must-have for browsers. Just download it and keep it running.

Tampermonkey

The famous Tampermonkey script manager probably needs no introduction—it’s basically a custom extension for other extensions. Visit https://www.youxiaohou.com/ for all kinds of scripts and resources. Here’s a script I use a lot: hmjz100/LinkSwift: A JavaScript-based tool for obtaining direct download links from popular Chinese cloud drive services, modified from Netdisk Direct Link Helper. Supports Baidu Netdisk, Aliyun Drive, China Mobile Cloud, Tianyi Cloud, Xunlei Cloud, Quark Cloud and more.. There are plenty of other useful scripts too, and if you’re a student, Tampermonkey can help with a lot of things (I’ll keep the details to myself, haha).

Immersive Translate —陪读蛙 (Peiduwa) :frog:

Peiduwa Extension

Find it in the extension store—it’s great for bilingual translation and the free version is already very good. If you want more features, you can top up Deepseek credits and use Deepseek v4 flash for fast, long-lasting translations. Or check out some public Deepseek-enabled sites, like the ones I listed in some current free APIs.

I’ve recently tried Peiduwa and realized how fast translation can actually be! Immersive Translate, who are you? Don’t bother me anymore, Peiduwa is all I need.

Bitwarden

Bitwarden Extension

Also in the extension store, Bitwarden makes it easy to save your identity info, bank cards, account passwords, and security keys, plus autofill—it’s a must-have for anyone on the web. The earlier you use it, the better, and once you start, you won’t stop. For advanced users who want 2FA storage, you can self-host a vaultwarden server (How to self-host a vaultwarden), or use a free service like Disroot intro.

GlobalSpeed

GlobalSpeed Extension

Available in extension stores, this tool lets you easily adjust playback speeds—very useful for ‘speedrunning’ online courses (lol).

ALL API HUB

Superpower ChatGPT

Superpower ChatGPT Extension

Find it at https://spchatgpt.com/. With this extension, you can use Enter for line breaks and Ctrl+Enter to send, plus there’s an advanced model switcher for custom models, and handy features like dialogue export, category, and prompt saving.

Voyager

Voyager Extension

Similar to the above, but Gemini-based. Also packed with features and super useful.

End

That’s all for now! If I find more great extensions, I’ll update this post. If this helped you, I’m glad! (≧∇≦)/

It’s pretty good and very useful.

Looks pretty impressive.

Could you write an article about mobile browsers that support extensions?

Thanks for sharing, most of these are pretty similar to what I use. I’ll give WebRTC Control a try.
