I don’t have many Google accounts, and I’d like to get a few more to use lately, but it keeps prompting me to scan a QR code. Does anyone know how to get around this? ![]()
I’m waiting too.
Register using the Gmail app, a relatively clean IP address, and a device.
I previously signed up using X and was banned immediately. I appealed, and it was basically resolved the next day. After that, I could use it normally.
A clean IP is key. Alternatively, you can use an IP from a less popular country; it’s fine even if its reputation is somewhat lower. Registering through the mobile app is less likely to trigger a verification code than registering on a computer. Once registration succeeds, immediately add 2FA and a recovery email, then age the account on your phone for about a month. Don’t log in from a computer, keep the IP stable, and don’t switch it around randomly. After that, you can create as many accounts as you like. If phone verification appears at any point, abandon the account immediately—once it happens, it will happen again, so there’s no point keeping that account.
The IP may have a bad reputation; web registration could also be related to the UA, language, and so on.
Clean IP from the Turkish data center previously used
You need to use a phone. With a clean IP, registration succeeds by going straight through the verification-code step. When I use an emulator, it triggers a verification-code prompt.
IP and device environment issues. If the environment is very clean, you can register directly like I did with my main account—without even verifying a phone number.
Today I saw people in the group saying the lockdown restrictions had eased, so I signed up for one. My health code didn’t change.
Google-related help content can be moved to the Google node. @XHKChappy
Probably the mobile app. It seems unrelated to the IP—residential broadband gets skipped too. Of course, it still needs to be a bit cleaner.
I registered on YouTube using a web PC and was able to skip phone verification.
I haven’t been able to get it to work lately—it’s either QR code scanning or some kind of video verification. Looks like my IP still isn’t good enough.
Video verification? I’ve honestly never seen that before. Is it for verifying age?
It’s just a video of someone clapping.
I registered a while ago too—it redirected me to a QR code. I scanned it, but it wouldn’t open, so I couldn’t verify via SMS.
Set up a proxy with GCP
Thanks for the reminder.
Next time, I’ll be more careful to distinguish between the sections (I’m not very good at using it yet ![]()
Just successfully registered an account using Gmail and a home broadband connection—no phone number verification required.
