First of all, thank you all for your feedback and suggestions in the previous thread.
Based on everyone’s opinions, we have decided to proceed with Solution 2 and add a new, more stable datacenter.
At present, we have already launched a new physical server in the new datacenter, with a direct China Mobile International (CMI) connection and China Unicom/China Telecom as backup routes.
This new datacenter is more stable than the original, which will help keep the community area running more reliably.
However, we want to clarify that the physical server configuration in the new datacenter is slightly lower than in the original datacenter. The configuration (CPU, RAM, storage) and pricing for the servers you purchased (“small instances”) will remain unchanged. The original community datacenter has higher hardware specs at a lower price, but is only slower to resolve network issues this time. Services there will continue once the network is restored.
Community area paid users currently have two options:
-
Request to switch to the new datacenter (Hong Kong District 13): Submit a ticket to apply, and we will prioritize your district change (except for users who have already been given access to the Inclusive/Quality District before this);
-
Wait for the original datacenter to recover: Your original instance will be retained, and you can continue using it once network connectivity is restored. Any time lost during the wait will be compensated afterward.
The two options are independent. Please feel free to choose according to your needs.
Paid users will be prioritized; free users will be processed gradually as well. Thank you all for your patience.
