I don’t get the point of spamming others on GitHub

I was in my major class today when I suddenly received a GitHub issue notification from QQ Mail.

At first, I was pretty shocked and confused—how can a project with just a few dozen stars still attract hate?
Then I checked out his profile, and it all made sense.
Joined GitHub on April 10 and, wow, filed over 200 issues in just one day. Seriously, is this guy just bored, running scripts to spam and randomly criticize others?

Say what you want, but honestly, I think this kind of behavior is the real disruption to the open-source community. It disturbs the peace and is just exasperating.

People like that—one report and they’re done.
Report their ass.

He commented that there were quite a lot of words typed—if it were a human, that wouldn’t be likely, so it must be AI, right?

Does he have a repo? If he does, you go wreck his too.

Joined on April 10, posted 200 issues in a single day, has no other activity and no repositories—clearly a sockpuppet account. Reported it.

Damn, I ran into this today too—pretty gross.

Wow, amazing! But honestly, the way it sounds doesn’t really seem like a human.

You can just report it directly like this.

It’s really hard to know what to say when something like this happens.

It seems like a lot of repositories have been hit by this kind of attack lately.

This is basically just script account harassment — you can directly report it as abuse. On the repository side, you can temporarily restrict issues, enable templates, and lock it for a while if necessary. Don’t waste your energy engaging with these kinds of accounts.

There’s really no way to figure out what they’re thinking. To put it simply, they’re just messed up.

This is… amazing.

Feels like they’re just randomly picking targets to go off on, using it to test the script.
