US Zone 27 · Notice on IP Blocking and Follow-up Measures

Hello everyone. Regarding the recent connectivity issues in US Zone 27, here is the latest update on our response:

:pushpin: Current situation: IP blocked, replacement difficult in the short term

Just five days after the IP address of US Zone 27 was replaced last Sunday, an investigation found that the zone’s public IP had been blocked again.

Due to extremely strict network controls during the recent national conference, the situation has become severe: “replace one, block one.” At the same time, the cost of purchasing host machines and dedicated IPs is currently extremely high, and the platform simply cannot bear the enormous expense of replacing IPs frequently.

:pushpin: Strict investigation of violations and zone transfer plans
To resolve the issues with this node once and for all, we will take the following measures:

  1. Strictly investigate violations: Today, we will thoroughly investigate violations in US Zone 27’s public-service area and remove containers that pose serious risks.
  2. Transfer configurations: Compliant machines in Zone 27 will be transferred to US Zone 26 or US Zone 19 (both quality zones).

To balance costs, users transferred to another zone may choose one of the following compensation or resolution options:
:backhand_index_pointing_right: Option A (transfer to Zone 26): Transfer to US Zone 26, with 【service duration cut in half】 as the cost.
:backhand_index_pointing_right: Option B (transfer to Zone 19): Transfer to US Zone 19, with 【bandwidth reduced to 20 Mbps】 as the cost.
:backhand_index_pointing_right: Option C (terminate service): Refund the remaining value to the account balance.

:pushpin: Future IP protection and IPv6 transition plan

Because the risk of IP resources being maliciously blocked through association is extremely high, we are exploring adding IPv6 as a transitional solution (success is not guaranteed) to mitigate the impact of network blocking.

In the future, we may also introduce relevant rules (this is only an idea and has not been finalized). For example, if a region is blocked multiple times, its IP could be changed free of charge; after the limit is exceeded, affected users would need to voluntarily contribute part of the IP cost until the replacement threshold is reached. This is only an initial idea, and the specific details will be decided later.

:warning: Users who need a zone transfer or refund, please submit a ticket as soon as possible and indicate your choice.
