SenseTime RiRiXin still hasn’t started charging

RT, they originally said they’d start charging at the end of July, but now it’s already August and it still shows as free, the quota hasn’t been cut either. Guess my imagination really is limited by how broke I am.

Do you want him to charge for it?

5.2 throttling is way too severe, it’s impossible to play.

It seems like rate limiting is pretty strict — I keep getting 429s.

It’s still okay in the OpenCode environment.

Thank you, Riri Xin.

You’re really trying to use it, but it’s not easy to use.

Kilo code, those highly restrictive skills, or prompt words like SenseTime’s DeepSeek V4 Flash, will just directly stop tool invocation.

Really? I think it’s okay.

Far from it.

If you ask it to use kilocode to generate a commit message (that is, the message summarizing what changed in the commit), it just refuses to generate it—no response at all, it doesn’t return anything. Even in VSCode, if you try to use Copilot to generate it without a plugin, it does the same.

I haven’t tried kilo code — I just connected it to the hermes agent.

Because Hermes’s cache is always problematic, connecting to RiriXin every day just seems more worthwhile.

OpenCode is really easy to use and has no restrictions at all.

Yeah, that’s right.

That’s true, right now Hermes relies entirely on this to keep going, and it’s pretty good for handling some daily tasks too.

Hahaha, gotta earn some goodwill first.

I recently figured out why this happens: the commit has to receive a response within 30 seconds, otherwise it times out and is canceled. There’s no retry mechanism.

There’s nothing that can be done about that—the kilocode commit plugin is brain-dead and can’t even wait 30 seconds. I ended up switching to a separate proxy mode to write commits.

Back to SenseTime’s 日日新 DSV4 Flash: I tested it today and found that it’s not as weak as it used to be. It can now complete tool calls in kilocode, so it should be considered usable—but only for very simple instructions.
